GENERAL INFORMATION
As the description of their name implies, the TR and TRP Series of top access baghouse collectors allow users to change the filters via an access plenum at the top of the baghouse’s chamber unlike their inside access brethrens.
Compared to numerous other air pollution control devices, the dry fabric filter is by far the most efficient and reliable. Unlike other filtering methods, variations in dust loading or air volume will not change the outlet conditions of a well-designed dry fabric collector. The pulse jet system outperforms conventional dry fabric filter units since it allows the use of highly efficient felt filter fabrics.
The dust is collected on the outside of the filter bags. At regular intervals, a burst of metered compressed air is injected through the venturis and inside the fabrics in order to dislodge the agglomerated dust on the outside of the bags and make it fall into the hopper.
Using top quality needle felt media of appropriate weight and construction enables maximum filtering efficiency to be attained. A full range of synthetic felts is available to meet your specific requirements: Fibreglass, Polyester, Nylon, Nomex, etc. All bags are accessed from the top of the collector thus eliminating the need for dirty side entry to change and service the bags.
There are two variants of the top access baghouse dust collectors: the TR and the TRP series. The main difference is that the TRP series has plenum, an enclosure that can actually accommodate a user inside it and allows that person to access and change the filtering media regardless of the weather conditions.
ADVANTAGES
- Top access eliminates dirty side entry to change and service the bags
- Maximum filtration can be obtained through selection of certain items that include bag types, can velocity, collector shape and arrangement
- Steel internal cage supports are used to keep the bag form
- Snap-bands hold the bags in place
- No tools are required to remove the bags
- Standard cages and bags are easily available on the market
- Can operate at high temperatures up to 800˚F (special bags required)
- Large loading capacity
- Easily pulse cleans sticky and stringy materials
- Resists chemical products
- Resists humidity
- Stable pressure differential
- Energy recovery
- Maximum efficiency
- Adjustable pulse jet cycle
- NFPA Construction
THEORY OF OPERATION
HOW [TR and TRP] TOP ACCESS BAGHOUSE DUST COLLECTORS WORK
The dust-laden air enters the collector through the side that incorporates a vertical deflector plate. Once inside, the dust accumulates on the surface of the bag filter creating a caking. Reverse blasts of air are introduced at specific intervals, cleaning the bag surface and sending the debris towards the hopper. This unit utilizes venturis to amplifie the blast into the bag creating a more efficient cleaning. (Chance to insert an explanatory drawing to complement this part of the text.)
Maximum filtration can be obtained through selection of certain items that include bag types, can velocity, collector shape and arrangement.
Steel internal cage supports with venturis are used to keep the bags in place and in proper form. These cages are accessed from the top and, additionally, aid in sealing the bags. (Add a figure of the said cage with and without the filter bag)
