This wet scrubber is best used in highly explosive and reactive dust as well as oil mist applications. This unit effectively separates dust particles by saturating the air stream with a water vortex while reducing/eliminating the potential for an explosion.
This flexible, highly efficient, robust, top quality, industrial grade wet scrubber dust collector requires little maintenance. Its simplicity and high efficiency remains its two greatest advantages.
This wet scrubber for non-continuous operation does not require water level monitoring and will work independently. For heavier applications where continuous operation is required, water evaporation and sludge conveying must be accounted for.
Water level systems are available with secondary filter wash systems to aid and reduce maintenance and increase performance and filter life.
Sludge extraction can be done manually or with the aid of a sludge conveyor depending on usage and concentration of sludge being produced.
- Stable pressure drop for a given gas flow
- Constant efficiency for a given particulate condition
- No moving parts; no replaceable filters, robust construction
- Low capital investment and maintenance costs
- Compact (in most applications)
- Humidification of the working zone
- Possibility to cool the working zone
How the Wetrex Series Wet Scrubber Dust Collector Work
- Particle immersion is achieved by a strong turbulent water zone that forces the particles into the water; the main curved baffle insures that the particles are submerged and redirected towards the basin.
- The air and water mixture is then forced through another series of baffles that aid in the separation of the “clean” air from the dirty water.
- Secondary water/mist filters are used to drain out any water still left in the air stream.
- The water returns to the storage bin when the particles settle via gravity. It is then reused while the sludge and the debris are removed.
