The Airex Industries line of screw conveyor is an efficient way of transporting bulk material horizontally or with small angles. A rotating screw pushes the material along within an enclosure from point A to point B.
- Controlled and automated discharge of the dust collected
- Automated displacement of the discharge to another location
- Extremely reliable and requires little maintenance
- Excellent in abrasive applications
- Excellent in high temperature applications
- Perfectly sealed to prevent dust leakage
- Compatible with very humid material
How the Screw Conveyor Work
- The discharge falls from the hopper into one of the screw conveyor inlet.
- A rotating screw powered by a motor pushes the material along and within an enclosed shaft from one point to another.
- At the end of the shaft, the material simply falls into a container or a rotary air lock depending upon the application.
Selection Criteria for a Screw Conveyor:
- Granulometry
- Flowability
- Abrasiveness
- Hygroscopic properties
- Corrosiveness
- Explosiveness
- Material packs under pressure
- Operational temperature
- Product discharge rate
- Conveying angle
Applications
- Almost all dust applications
- Standard sizes range from 6'' to 9'' and 12”
- Mild steel industrial construction
- TEFC motor (575/480/240V) horse power vary between 1 to 3 HP
- Length of the screw conveyor range between 5’ to 24’ standard
- Gearbox, chain and OSHA protective guard
- Inlet/outlet boltable flange
