W & S Series
Inside Access Baghouse Dust Collector
The W&S Series requires that users enter through a side access door in order to change the filter mediums inside the dust collector. It is Airex’s first generation of baghouse dust collector.
The dry fabric filter is by far the most efficient and the most reliable compared to numerous other air pollution control devices. Unlike other filtering methods, variations in dust loading or air volume will not change the outlet conditions of a well-designed dry fabric collector. The pulse jet system outperforms conventional dry fabric filter units since it allows the use of highly efficient felt filter fabrics.
The dust is collected on the outside of the filter bags. At regular intervals, a burst of metered compressed air is injected through the venturis and into the inside of the fabric in order to dislodge the agglomerated dust on the outside of the bags and making it fall into the hopper to then drop down into a dust collecting bin.
Using top quality needle felt media of appropriate weight and construction enables maximum filtering efficiency to be attained. A full range of natural and synthetic felts is available to meet your specific requirements: Fibreglass, Polyester, Nylon, Nomex, etc. All bags are accessed from the side entry of the inside access baghouse dust collector for servicing.
There are two variants of the inside access baghouse dust collector: the W and the S series. The main difference is in the W series' integrated expanded metal walkway that allows for easier access to the bags found deep inside the collector. The walkway provides access for changing the filtering media while reducing the risks of falling into the hopper below.
